What is Basic Life Insurance?

A financial and family protection plan paid for by Evans County School System, which provides a lump-sum payment, known as a death benefit, to a beneficiary upon the death of employee.

Plan Rules:

Eligibility: Eligible full-time and 49% employees (as described on eligibility page of the benefits guide), spouse and unmarried children
Coverage through One America
Premiums paid by Evans County Charter School System
Conversion option is available for coverage but portability is not included
Must be actively at work on the effective date of coverage
Remember to update beneficiaries annually!
Dependents must be entered into the system to be eligible for coverage
